Pretty much all summer this year my preferred choice of jacket has been this, the Held - Defence.
It fits perfectly. I bought a wedding suit last year and the assistant sold me some German made threads because they are made for men with broad shoulders (apparently most Germans are quite broad) anyway Held are a German brand so that may have something to do with the good fit.
It has the usual removable thermal lining along with shoulder elbow and back armour all of which sit in the right places.
Its 100% waterproof too and I’ve been out in sheet rain for 20 minutes on the motorway and in its kept me bone dry. It also has a zip protected venting system, that feeds air in at the front by the arms and out at the lower back that works well when the lining is removed for mid summer coolness.
The only downside are the magnetic poppers that hold the front zip flap shut, they don’t always hold up to strong winds.
It makes for a great summer/Spring jacket that will see you through the odd heavy shower in comfort. You can pick one up for £150!
