Neil Bradford isn't an author, but confesses to being another R1200GS rider who rarely satifies his wanderlust.
In his book Sons of Thunder he's collected together the thoughts of writers, both famous and unknown, all of whom have written about motorcycling. Bradford has selected each piece to 'harness the excitement and power of the bike'.
