THE BIG FREEZE has well and truly set in, leaving many of us off the road.
But some riders have proven that they're made of tougher stuff, and continued to ride in the apocalyptic conditions.
Including this new rider, who has been praised online, after crashing in the ice but refusing to give up on her 30-mile journey home.
Photos of her were posted to the Midlands News & Stunning Views Facebook page, explaining: "A young lady motorcyclist slithers along a lane near Monsal Head, Bakewell, Derbyshire. She had already crashed and smashed up her bike but she said she had no option than to carry on. She was planning to ride to Derby - a journey of about 30 miles!"
The post has been liked, commented on and shared hundreds of times, with many praising her 'determination' and 'nerve'.
