Canepa’s rapid lap is during practice for the 8-hour Oschersleben endurance race that took place last Saturday.
At the start of the onboard, Capena is behind fellow racer and friend Stefano “Awa” Fugardi moments before he clips a curb and low sides at around 80mph! Luckily Fugardi is unscathed and lives to race another day, despite doing a few barrel rolls over the grass.
Straight after the incident, Canepa is back to his full-throttle ways and absolutely flying.
Watching the 2017 World Endurance Champion ride is almost hypnotic.
