WSB 2015: Imola race two results

The Kawasaki duo of Rea and Sykes continue to dominate the World Superbike field

JONATHAN Rea did the double at Imola finishing ahead of his Kawasaki team-mate Tom Sykes once again and celebrating 150th World Superbike race.

Unlike the restarted race one, Imola race two was over the full 19-lap distance with the Kawasaki Racing duo once again taking charge claiming their second 1-2 finish of the day with Jordi Torres finishing up in third.

Davide Giugliano completed an impressive return to racing to finish fourth as the top Italian once again. Ayrton Badovini also impressed in both race one and two finishing in 5th with Matteo Baiocco and Roman Ramos finishing 6th and 7th respectively.

It was a lonely race for Leandro Mercado and Michel Fabrizio who finished 8th and 9th whilst Voltcom Crescent Suzuki's Alex Lowes completed the top 10.

Unfortunately for Chaz Davies, he suffered yet another technical fault and missed out on the chance of a podium. Both PATA Honda riders Sylvain Guintoli and Michael van der Mark also missed out on the podium as they crashed out before half race distance as did Leon Haslam. Due to retirements, only 13 riders completed the race.
