Metzeler has been named the official tyre of the Isle of Man TT in a deal which will last until 2027.
The German tyre brand is well-known for its exploits in enduro, where it currently holds the first three positions in the EnduroGP series, but its latest move confirms it as a top brand on the asphalt, as it has become the Official Tyre of the Isle of Man TT.
The move comes after a difficult year on the roads for Dunlop in 2022, in which it suffered failures both at the North West 200 and at the Isle of Man TT road races.
Metzeler will continue to supply its Racetec RR tyre at the TT, as part of its new deal. This is the same tyre as has been used by Metzeler-sponsored teams and riders in the past.
