HRC confirm three man team for 2011

Dovizioso flexes his contract muscles?

Honda have announced that they will run a three man squad in MotoGP next season. This news follows endless, will-they-won't-they? rumours.

HRC boss Tetsuo Suzuki made the announcement at the current Valencia tests and confirmed that Dovizioso, Pedrosa and Stoner will all run under the Repsol-liveried HRC banner.

It seems that Honda top brass may have had their hands tied on the issue. Dovizio's management allegedly cited that their rider had fulfilled all his contractual obligations and result criteria to qualify for a factory bike in 2011.

Mr Suzuki went on to say: 'we believe can fight for victory at every race and achieve our joint goals, recapturing all three MotoGP titles.'

The more observant amongst you will notice that this is a strange claim. Moto2 is an entirely Honda engined grid.
