Moto2 rookie Jake Dixon faces another unfamiliar circuit in the form of this weekend's visit to Austin, Texas.
With more corners than any other circuit on the current grand prix calendar, learning the technical COTA layout will be far from simple. The British Superbike star's other concern is finding a base set-up for the Aspar team's new KTM chassis, after finishing 17th in Argentina.
"Argentina was a difficult race for us but we took a step forward," Dixon said. "I have spent some time at home since then, training hard and looking forward to the next race in Austin.
"It is a long circuit and it will be another tough weekend but I am excited to see what COTA is all about and seeing how we get on there.
"We need to keep improving the bike before we can make more steps in other areas such as my riding. Right now, the objective is to continue in the position we are in but I want more.”
