HOT, HOT rumours literally just kicking off in both Spain and Italy right now that both Carlos Checa or Max Biaggi could be about to make an incredible return to MotoGP in 2009!

The news has been sparked by Jorge Martinez, left reeling after his plans to sign up Toni Elias were blown out of the water when Elias signed for Fausto Gresini last week. Martinez is now known to be looking for a rider to put on a third Kawasaki on the premier class grid.

The story has also been sparked by recent comments from Biaggi, saying: "I have read some things about me and next year. At the moment I am deep in the championship I am racing in and will not comment.

"Soon though, I hope to be able to say for sure where I am riding next year."

Biaggi is known to have had his nose put out of joint by the collapse of the deal to seat him on the Xerox Ducati WSB machine as a replacement for Troy Bayliss - that ride is now going to Noriyuki Haga.
