JEREZ has agreed a deal to host MotoGP in 2012, with the potential to retain the race for a further four years.

The deal has been heavily backed by the Andalusian tourist board, to the tune of 4.4 million Euros, which will be paid directly to Dorna, the series organisers.

“I'd like to thank the Junta de Andalucía and Jerez de la Frontera City Council for their support in working toward securing this iconic event,” said Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports.

The Jerez circuit is now in negotiation with Dorna to secure the race for a further four years.
