GUY Martin won the main Superbike race at the Ulster GP.

Martin, riding the TAS Suzuki GSX-R1000, lead for the first four laps but was caught by Michael Dunlop. Dunlop crashed on the penultimate lap gifting Martin the win. It wasn't all doom and gloom for Dunlop who fought back to take the win in the second Superbike race.

Martin had opted for a 17" Pirelli treaded Supercorsa front and not the more common 16.5" Slick, he averaged 131.453mph.

William Dunlop won the first Supersport race of the day, Bruce Anstey took the second. Supertwin expert Ryan Farquhar took the Supertwin win, Michael Dunlop won the Superstock 1000s and Davy Morgan clinched the 250 race.

Pirelli Racing Manager Jason Griffiths commented, “It’s been a very pleasing debut for our 17 inch Superbike material - a win in the feature race at the Ulster! Guy used a Diablo Supercorsa front tyre on the Superbike to test a new compound with great results while Connor used 16.5 slicks as used by Alistair Seeley to win at the NW200. Congratulations also to Lee Johnston on a great Supersport podium today and his Dundrod 150 wins on the Millsport Ducati. We give thanks to the organisers for a day of close racing in front of a huge crowd at the legendary Dundrod road course.”
