Ventura has released new luggage options for the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE middleweight adventure bike.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE can now benefit from the Ventura Evo-22 Jet-Stream luggage, which acts as a kind of ‘in-between’ of soft bags and hard cases.

Mounting the bags requires the attachment of L-brackets, which is done via existing mounting points on the bike. Once the L-brackets are attached, the Evo Rack can slide onto them, and onto the rack any Evo Pack can be clipped in place using the sleeve-fitting system, which is aimed at providing easy attachment and detachment of the Packs while also holding them stably on the motorcycle.

Positioning of the Packs is optional, depending on whether a passenger is also being carried (as shown in the images below). Without a passenger, the Pack can be placed directly behind the rider, or it can be positioned over the tail section when a passenger is occupying the pillion seat. Whichever position is used, the Packs are kept clear of the exhaust and maintain the standard width of the bike, which is of particular benefit on an adventure-style bike like the V-Strom 800DE in trail riding instances, as well as for the more universal scenario of filtering.

The Evo Packs themselves come in a range of sizes, from 12-to-60 litres, and are shaped to minimise the aerodynamic impact, Ventura says. Waterproof, laminate ballistic fabric is used in the bags’ construction to offer as much protection as possible to the contents.

When purchased separately, L-brackets for the V-Strom 800DE retail for £172.95, Evo Racks are £96.95 and Pack prices start from £126.95.
