Shark has just released two new race-focused helmets at the French Grand Prix - which look the bomb.
Replica Johann Zarco Race-R Pro Carbon
Unveiled by the French MotoGP rider at Le Mans, the new Johann Zarco Race-R Pro Carbon replica.
The Race-R Pro Carbon Zarco replica is made from carbon aramid fibre with a gloss finish, and of course Zarco’s distinctive number 5 across the top of the helmet.
The helmet features a distinctive double-blade spoiler for improved aerodynamic stability at high speed. And as with all SHARK helmets, the interior is fully removable and washable.
The visor is treated externally with anti-scratch protection and internally with anti-fog, with it being attached to the lid with a patented four anchor point visor safety lock (with quick release).
The Race-R Pro Carbon Zarco replica is available in sizes XS – XL with an RRP of £599.99. Expected to be in UK dealers later this year.

To celebrate Sharks 30th anniversary the brand has designed limited editions of its iconic racing model, the Race R Pro GP, in three different colour options: Red Carbon Black, Black Carbon Pearl, and White Carbon Black.
Limited to only 1989 units (663 units of each colour) and the new Race-R Pro GP models feature the very SHARK-like aerodynamic spoiler/fin.
These limited editions lids are built for the track and tested in close collaboration with MotoGP racers, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology to achieve the best possible aerodynamic efficiency at top speeds whilst minimising drag, vibration and maximising stability. Pretty rad right?
Also, For rider safety, there’s a ‘Quick Spoiler Safety System’ which allows ejecting of the spoiler in the event of a fall.
The shell is built with a Carbon On View and Aramid structure (COVA). The different thicknesses of Expanded Polystyrene used increased shock absorption and damping at each impact zone.
Inside, the helmet has an ‘Alveotech’ lining fabric with a Sanitized® treatment, which prevents the breeding of bacteria, reducing stinkiness.
To reduce noise, the helmet has memory-shaped ear pads, wrap-around neck protection, as well as a dual-use anti-fog breath guard that helps to blocks background noise.
The Race-R Pro GP helmet features a ‘SHARK Racing Division’ laser engraving on the visor mechanics and wrap-around neck protection, as well as a titanium-coated double-D ring strap with magnetic buckle. Customers will receive goodies such as:
