New Triumph Speed Triple spied

Styling tweaks and a brake upgrade for Triumph's super naked

HERE'S a spy shot of a new Triumph Speed Triple recently undergoing testing in Spain.

The picture shows the model has been given several styling tweaks, including a new fuel tank, different radiator side covers and a revised tail unit that’s noticeably less bulky than the current one.

A new ram-air scoop in the fly screen could deliver a slight boost in power from the Speed Triple’s 1050cc three-cylinder engine.

The test bike is fitted with the Brembo monobloc brakes used on the current higher-spec Speed Triple R model and it looks like the dual seat unit used on the current bike has been replaced with separate rider and pillion seats.

The revised model was seen being tested in Spain last week.
