New Generation Indian Scout Launched in Five Flavours

The Indian Scout has been launched for 2025 in a new generation which will be available in five different variations, all powered by a new engine

2025 Indian 101 Scout

A new Indian Scout has been launched, along with a new engine from the American manufacturer. Prices begin at £13,195.

Still, of course, a V-twin, the new engine used in this latest Indian Scout generation is named SpeedPlus by the American marque and ups the capacity from the previous 1,113cc to a new, rounder 1,250cc. In terms of performance, SpeedPlus produces 110bhp and 80lb ft of torque.

The new Scout’s novelty doesn’t stop at the motor, though, as a new steel tubular frame is used. This new frame is said to increase the ease at which the bike can be customised, and combines with a fresh design of the rear subframe. Additionally, the 2025 Indian Scout comes with a seat height of only 680mm.

Together, the engine, frame, and subframe form the base of the new Indian Scout, which can be bought in the following variants: Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Scout Classic, Super Scout, and 101 Scout.

2025 Indian Scout Bobber

Starting with the Scout Bobber, it’s more or less the same Bobber we’ve come to know, with a low stance, menacing look, and, well, bobber-style tyres. Although it’s available in multiple colour options, those choices only affect the tank and rear mudguard - the rest of the bike is blacked out: wheels, engine, frame - the whole lot. Bar end mirrors complete the Bobber’s look, amplifying that ‘slammed’ look when positioned below the bar. The Indian Scout Bobber is available from £13,195, making this the least expensive of the five 2025 models.

2025 Indian Sport Scout

The Sport Scout is one of the new variations to come with this new generation of Scout, and comes with gloss black 150mm risers as standard, as well as a machined triple clamp and what Indian calls “moto handlebars”. The seat has a sporty feel and “provides riders more back support and comfort to ride longer and harder,” Indian says, while the font quarter-fairing is akin to that found on the Indian Sport Chief. Pricing for the 2025 Indian Sport Scout begins at £13,395.

2025 Indian Scout Classic

The Scout Classic is the new-gen variant which is most comparable to the regular Scout of the previous generation. As suggested by its name, it takes on more retro styling, with maximalist mudguards, high bars, a chromed pipe (single, instead of the twin-pipe of the old-engined Scout), and silver-wired wheels. Pricing for the 2025 Indian Scout Classic begins at £13,395, matching the Sport Scout.

2025 Indian Super Scout

The 2025 Indian Super Scout adds a front screen, saddle bags, and features 76mm of suspension travel, making the Super the Scout aimed at longer-distance cruising. Its chrome pipe is interrupted by a black heat shield to protect the right-side bag, and its small-diameter wheels are wrapped in fat, bobber-style tyres. Pricing begins at £16,095.

2025 Indian 101 Scout

Finally, the 101 Scout is a celebration of the model’s history, which began around 100 years ago. Despite the historical roots, the 101 is “purpose-built to be the highest performing Scout Indian Motorcycle has ever offered,” Indian says. The 101 has the same engine outputs as the others, but it features higher-spec cycle parts. For example, it is the only one of the 2025 models to use twin front brake discs (with callipers from Brembo), while the suspension is adjustable at both ends (with an inverted front fork and twin piggyback rear shocks). There’s also what Indian calls a “custom-stitched, gunfighter-style solo seat,” and features the same 150mm riders, triple clamps, and bars as the Sport Scout. 101 Scout branding is also dotted around the bike, and it comes with graphics and paint options exclusive to this model. All this exclusivity and performance will set you back the same £16,095 as the Super Scout.

2025 Indian Scout Trim levels

The Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, and Scout Classic are all available in three different trim levels: Standard, Limited, and Limited +Tech.

The first of these, Standard, kits the Scout of the prospective owner’s choice with ABS, new LED lighting, and an analogue gauge with newly introduced fuel level and fuel economy readouts.

Secondly, Limited adds to the Standard trim level with traction control cruise control, a USB charge port (the type is not specified by Indian), and three different ride modes to choose from: Sport, Standard, and Tour.

Finally, Limited +Tech includes everything from Standard and Limited, and adds Indian’s four-inch, round touchscreen display which offers turn-by-turn navigation, point-to-point route planning, and configurable gauges among other features. Limited +Tech also adds keyless ignition, and is standard on the Super Scout and 101 Scout.
