BUILDING on the already impressive base of its first-ever motorcycle, American motorcycle manufacturer Damon is turning its hand to the naked game, as the HyperFighter Colossus is revealed.

The new bike is largely based on the underpinnings of the faired HyperSport electric sports bike, stripping it of its bodywork, and creating a more muscular silhouette.

The final spec and design of the bike is yet to be confirmed, although that hasn’t stopped Damon from opening its order books for the new machine. Damon opened a first-in-line order book, giving punters a chance to get their names down for a chance to own one of the limited edition machines.

The bike will be getting its first public outing at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 2nd 2022.

With the bike sharing much of its powertrain, battery, motor, and speed controller with the HyperSport, the specs of the machine (if they remain the same) are seriously impressive. 200hp, 200Nm of torque, 0-60 in under three seconds and a flat-out top speed of around 170mph.

Add to that charge times of around 45-minutes if using a speedy DC fast charger. Home charging through a 240v (Lv2) socket is equally impressive, with Damon quoting 2.5 hours – that’s quicker Lv2 charging than any other electric bike we have tested.

If you’re looking at this and wanting to land one in your garage, you better be quick – once all 100 examples are scooped up, Damon claims the model will be gone forever! It’s priced at $35,000 (£26,500) and a bike can be reserved with a $250 deposit.
