YOU are forgiven for probably having never heard of Axiis before, as the CNC machining specialist is a relative unknown in many regions.

That could be all about to change though, as the firm has created what can only be described as a fairly stunning looking electric supermoto machine called the Liion.

Dripping in CNC parts and carbon fibre, the visual ‘bark’ of the Axiis is matched by a significant bite, thanks to 134bhp power output, 531lb-ft of torque, and a 12kWh battery!

The company was founded back in 2015, by three friends with a passion for two-wheeled competition, and the drive to build their own bikes. They started off creating CNC parts for race bikes and supermotos, using the core business as a springboard to something much bigger. That ‘something’ is the bike you can see here, a hardcore, fully electric supermoto, with the power of a middleweight sports naked, the weight of a 125cc street bike, and the torque of a Lamborghini Aventador!

Many riders scoff at the idea of electric motorcycles becoming mainstream, although if there is one sector where they look most at home it’s the world of off-road racing and supermoto. With short stints on track and plenty of time to recharge between sessions, the off-road world is the latest proving ground for mainstream manufacturers to test their tech.

The Liion isn’t quite ready to hit the road or track just yet though, orders are being taken, but the firm is still in the late stages of development of the stunning-looking machine.
