BRITISH supercar maker Ariel is 'just about to launch' a Honda VFR1200F-powered motorcycle, according to the firm's director.
The bike has been in development since 2011 and is expected to be unveiled in days.
Details are scarce but it is known that it also uses a VFR1200F swing-arm.
Ariel revealed the launch was imminent in a press release on one of its 350bhp Atom supercars being drafted in for a police operation targeting motorcycle safety.
Ariel Director Simon Saunders said in the release: ‘We’re just about to launch an all new Ariel motorcycle and we want our bikes and customers to be as safe as they possibly can be as well, so this message is important to us. There’s always one certain loser in a motorcycle collision and that’s the motorcyclist.'
