A GANG of three men raided The Motorcycle Centre in Blindley Heath, beating a staff member, breaking his wrist and then stealing a Suzuki GSX-R600.

The gang of men consisted of two wearing motorcycle helmets and another, without a helmet who threatened a workshop mechanic with a screwdriver.

The mechanic tried to fight off the gang but was punched and kicked to the ground and left with a broken wrist.

The men stole a Suzuki GSX-R600 from the workshop and escaped, but bizarrely the one attacker without a helmet jumped on the bike as pillion while one of the men wearing a helmet was seen running off down the road.

Police suspect the three men were staking-out the garage waiting for the right time to strike and once they'd stolen the motorcycle, headed in the direction of Godstone on the A22.

The attack happened in broad daylight and police are looking to hear from anyone with any information.
