A MASSIVE scam dealership has been exposed today. The website, found at www.motosw.com pretends to be a dealer - that doesn't exist - and has been taking deposits for bikes that they don't have.
The website lists Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda and Suzuki bikes for sale and lists its address as: Marsh Mills Retail Park, Plymouth - the actual address of a Ford car dealership - which has nothing to do with the scam at all.
Visordown spoke to Peter Armstrong from Ocean BMW - RiDE's No.1 dealer in 2006 - who had an email from a biker who thought they were about to buy a bike from Moto SW and wondered whether they should pick it up from Ocean BMW, as the Moto SW website stated the Moto SW dealership was located in the same estate. Obviously the two are not related and this enquiry alerted Peter Armstrong to the fact that something wasn't right.
Ocean BMW are concerned for potential customers and have informed trading standards. If you have been caught up in this scam, please let us know.
