LONDON has been revealed as the most dangerous area for bikers, as data is released ahead of the most dangerous day to ride a bike - April 5th.

According to insurance claims to Bennetts in 2011; 22% of all motorcycle accidents occurred in the capital with Leicester, Norwich, Portsmouth and Bristol following as the next worst spots.

Bennetts are pushing a campaign at www.bikerpetition.co.uk to get motorcycle-related questions in the theory test, helping to raise awareness of motorcycles and help reduce accidents.

There are approximately 28,000 accidents involving motorcycle riders a year, with riders in their 40s the most likely to crash.

Further figures also showed that bikers named David account for 15% of total claims, followed by Paul at 14% and Andrew at 11%.

So if your name is David, you're in your 40s and you're riding in London tomorrow - you've been warned.
