THE INSTITUTE of Advanced Motorists have called for the police to crackdown on scooter riders in a bid to keep the wheelie-prone yoofs off the streets.

The IAM are claiming that because the 50cc-riding kids don't need any training they are a menace to other road users and are upping pressure on the police and the Government to clamp down on what they are calling 'anti-social behaviour'. The Institute is also concerned about fears of increased drink and drug taking amongst new riders.

A spokesman for the IAM said: "Something needs to be done about this. They can be very anti-social and dangerous on the roads."

Ah bless the IAM, they only want to save us from ourselves...
