Honda to debut battery-powered two-wheeler in 2010

World's largest bike manufacturer to target corporate customers with alternative-powered motorcycle

HONDA is planning to debut an electric two-wheeler in Japan next year, Visordown has been told.

Tatsuhiro Ohyama, head of Honda’s motorcycle operations says the new machine will be powered by a lithium-ion battery, rumoured to be supplied by battery giant Yuasa.

Honda say they will target sales to corporate customers, including postal services and fast food outlets.
