WARWICKSHIRE POLICE will launch a high profile security operation ahead of this year's Bulldog Bash.

The Force willl implement a stop-and-search policy throughout the event's duration, in an attempt to discourage rival biker gangs from causing any trouble at the Hells Angel-organised 5-day rally.

Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland said officers wanted to protect people from harm during the motorcycle-based event.

"This is not to say that all those attending are criminals - the vast majority are decent people out to enjoy themselves. But there is a small criminal minority, and it is against these that the police operation will be targeted," he said.
