DUCATI USA has issued a recall for the company's 2010 Multistrada 1200 for steering issues but a recall will not be issued for bikes a the UK, a Ducati spokesman told

The recall surrounds an "incorrect screw" that could cause the bike's steering head to come loose, according to a company release.

From the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of America:

'During production an incorrect screw may have been installed in the bike’s steering head. This could cause the steering head to become loose during normal operation, which could adversely affect the driver’s ability to steer the vehicle increasing the risk of crash'.

Ducati UK says the issue "is not a safety recall in the UK, it is however something that the dealers will have been notified of and will in turn contact their customers - but this is not classed as a safety recall."
