Coffee to go! Ace Cafe Watsonian sidecar build

Ace Cafe Switzerland has collaborated with Watsonian sidecars to create a one-of-a-kind coffee bar sidecar outfit

A motorcycle and sidecar outfit that serves coffee!

THE Ace Cafe in Lucerne, Switzerland has teamed up with Watsonian sidecars to create a unique Royal Enfield coffee stall!

The bike is the brainchild of Ace Cafe Switzerland owner Danny Kunz, who challenged Auer Power Moto to create the bike which fuses a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 with a retro Grand Prix sidecar from the British manufacturer. The idea was for him to fuse two of his biggest passions, coffee and classic bikes.

He then approached Watsonian to provide a sidecar suitable for use, and they sent out the one you can see here. He then set to work, creating the bike with the help of Auer Power Moto and no doubt a significant amount of coffee!

The Grand Prix sidecar features a tubular steel perimeter frame that is welded for strength and durability. The design makes it the perfect fit for a job like this, as it provides a durable and strong base for the rack that carries the coffee grinder and ECM Espresso machine.

Now the creation is ready to serve bean-to-cup coffee wherever it’s parked, and as an added bonus the outfit can also dispense Guinness 0.0 non-alcoholic beer.

Watsonian MD Ben Matthews is no stranger to unusual sidecar projects:

“As a company we've 111 years of experience making sidecars, so we're the go-to guys when it comes to building outfits for TV, film and specialist use. In 2020 we designed a sidecar for a Cornish chef to serve Asian street food from and prior to that, we made an outfit for a London beekeeper! We'll also be revealing something with an Italian flavour later this year!”
