Sources say Xaus is to ride BMW's new S1000 RR

THE RUMOURS are really chomping along with this one - but it seems very likely that Ruben Xaus will be the man charged with riding the BMW S1000 RR in next year's World Superbike Championship.
According to Spanish sources, Xaus is still in talks with the factory sorting out the final stages of the deal. Although he has been contesting a Ducati this year, it's thought that Xaus has now replaced Suzuki man Max Neukirchner as the main rider on the bike in 2009.
It could be a really good move, if the rumours turn out to be true. Xaus was runner-up in WSB in 2003, ridden in MotoGP, raced in WSB 138 times and won 10 races.
He knows his way round a track does Ruben, is a nice bloke too. Just still needs to keep it upright a bit more, though.
