XEROX DUCATI WSB team boss Davide Tardozzi has said that even though both riders want to race other, he doesn't believe the much-hyped possible tussle between Valentino Rossi and Troy Bayliss.
The pair could meet up on track at the March 14 round of the WSB championship in the Qatar round, both riders have publicly said that they are interested in the meeting which would see Rossi take to the track on a World Superbike spec Yamaha R1 for the first time competitively.
Tardozzi, who has managed Bayliss for the most successful part of his career, said: "Even if Valentino has made these declarations that he wants to race Troy in a WSB race I do not believe that a duel is possible. Ducati needs time if this race is to go ahead and the Qatar round might be too close."
It's reported Bayliss says he wants a £1 million to race Rossi.
So nobody has given it the big, fat no just yet. Watch this space.
