TT racer James McBride badly injured

Superstock rider crashes just moments after setting the fourth fastest time with a 122.12mph lap

TT racer James McBride is lucky to be alive after a serious accident in the Isle of Man TT Superstock practice session.

McBride had clocked the fourth quickest time of 122.12mph before being involved in a high-speed incident at Gorse Lea in the closing minutes of the session

The Kettering-based rider was taken to Noble's Hospital and is described as having major fractures.

We wish him a full and speedy recovery
