BSB: Harris - I'm back and ready for Oulton fight

Karl Harris ready to race at Oulton Park after 120mph crash off at Thruxton

HE MAY have taken a Rizla Suzuki in the mush at 120mph just two weeks ago but Yamaha rider Karl Harris says he's fully fit and ready for this Bank Holiday Monday's BSB round.

The second outing in anger for the British Superbikes is at Oulton Park and the Rob Mac Racing Yamaha star's mullered mouth has almost completely recovered. And he's keen to put the misery of Brands, where snow stopped the racing, and Thruxton, where an engine problem forced him out of race one and that crash saw him out of race two, behind him.

He said: "I'm feeling spot on and can't wait to get to Oulton Park this weekend. It's a great circuit that I really enjoy racing at, historically I've gone well there. I just want to put the disappointment of Brands and Thruxton behind us and start to rack up some points, we have definitely worked hard enough for them and want to turn our luck around."

Rob McElnea, Team Boss added: "'Hitman Harris' arrives at Oulton with a few aches and pains but nothing is going to stop him pushing for his first podium of the season at his favourite track. Karl has not put a foot wrong in his build up to the season and in the first two rounds, after a very promising qualifying at Brands and a sure podium position at Thruxton on the cards, we have come to Oulton with nothing other than promise for our efforts. The huge accident involving a cartwheeling Rizla Suzuki was frightening and probably was the only bit of good luck Karl has had as he got away fairly unscathed. We are desperate to get our year going and to see Karl get some rewards for his blistering pace. The lads, our sponsors and all Harris fans will be rooting for this weekend to be the turning point of our season."
