SHANE Byrne extended his lead in the British Superbike championship today with a win and 2nd place at Brands Hatch. HM Plant's Cal Crutchlow is in secnod place, a massive 44 points behind Byrne. Byrne's team mate, Leon Camier is in third place, 13 points off Crutchlow.
Leon Haslam was hoping to get his Bennetts British Superbike Championship title challenge back on track, but missed out on a podium in both races, finishing fourth and sixth. He's currently eight points behind James Ellison.
