A BLOWOUT while riding your bike is probably the last thing you'll ever want to experience, but Visordown regular, Docca, experienced far worse.
While riding his 2004 Aprilia Tuono back from work he heard a bang and the front wheel immediately went flat causing to bike to shake violently, almost going into a tank slapper.
After he made it to the side of the road, Docca was shocked to see that his tyre had not just suffered a sever and rapid deflation, but that his entire rim had buckled, with a two inch section of the rim completely missing.
The bike is a two owner 2004 model, with a full service history and under 20,000 miles on the clock.
Docca told Visordown: "Only damage is the wheel. Thankully. Nothing else was even scratched. I've no idea how the rim ruptured like that, really, I don't. I couldn't see anything on the road."
