A TEXAS police officer has been put on administrative duties while an investigation is conducted into this video which appears to show him pepper-spraying passing motorcyclists.
The helmet camera footage appears to show Officer W. Figueroa get out of a patrol car and spray a group of riders as they pass on a busy highway.
The video was shot on Sunday and posted yesterday on YouTube with the comment: ‘MUST WATCH!!! This is how our law enforcement chooses to "protect and serve". This is wrong, please like and share.’
A reported 200 motorcyclists were taking part in a ‘Welcome Back Weather’ ride in Fort Worth to celebrate the start of the riding season.
Police have told the Star-Telegram that complaints had been received of riders blocking traffic and that officers had stopped a pick-up truck because people were standing up in the back to photograph a bike.
