silver Dream racer/ Slightly Corney? Slightly? Wrong adverb. very very corney is more accurate. All bike films are corney. It's something that just hasnt come across in film yet, not a subject well understood by film makers. Most could be attributed to dating, but even the 'modern' Faster doco, was corney, terrible embarressing stuff, gut wrenching. What was Ewen Macgregor thinking? reading a script like that. And if I ever hear bike riders referenced as Heroes one more time I will throw up.

'On any sunday' was okay, for it was almost genuine, and the dating factor is hilarious, but it actually did create a bit of tension with that dirt speedway guy whatever he was called. All others, are attrocious. The japanese have a few attempts at bike films, which are a bit better than the lot youve put up there. (exception, easy rider, great movie, made by people who know how to make a film, thats the difference I think). They say Stone is a legend movie. Never seen it, but I doubt it somehow.

Roadside Prophets is decent for a bike movie. Its sad to say that you have to excuse all bike movies as 'bike movies'

What about the often overlooked "Hell Angels take a min break".
Not sure if it's in the top ten but is most definitely entertaining:

Little Fauss & Big Halsy, starring Michael J. Pollack and Robert Redford. Decent, likeable tale, plus lots of motorcycle action.
