BATTLING BRIT Tom Sykes reckons he’s cracked some part of the Yamaha R1’s set-up before getting serious at Brno this weekend.
The Yamaha man, who despite a string of good rides in 2009 has been overshadowed by the phenomenal performances by team-mate Ben Spies, says that he’s now found a base-setting for the Yamaha that will let him run up front.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to showing some more of my recent pace," said Tom Sykes. "I've been getting faster and faster all year as we've resolved some issues with the set up and now I feel we've got a package I can use to challenge and stay with the front pack. I haven't ridden Brno before but I think we can pick it up quickly on Friday and get cracking on the bike set up."
