ANGLO-AMERICAN John Hopkins may not take part in the next round of the WSB championship after crashing in practice at Imola.

Despite posting the sixth fastest time in testing at Imola, Hopkins has been told by doctors the injuries to the rider's bones have not fully healed from Hopkin's massive crash at Assen earlier in the season. The Stiggy Honda man dislocated his hip in the smash, claiming it was "the worst pain I've ever felt in my life".

It's understood Hopkins will undergo further examination before the team will decide whether he's fit to race.
