WSBK 2016: Championship standings after Buriram

The standings after the second round of the 2016 World Superbike Championship

AFTER round two of the World Superbike Championship Jonathan Rea remains at the top of the Championship standings with 95-points whilst team-mate Tom Sykes is currently second. 

With a first and a second a Buriram in Thailand, Rea is ahead by 29-points, whilst Sykes has decreased the gap by crossing the line first in race two. 

Michael van der Mark finished off the podium for the first time this season in race two, but is only one-point adrift of Kawasaki's Sykes. Chaz Davies is a further 10-points behind with Sylvain Guintoli in fifth. 

MotoGP star Nicky Hayden is currently eighth after a DNF in race one whilst British rider Leon Camier rounds out the top ten. Reigning British Superbike Champion Josh Brookes and Brit Alex Lowes are 13th and 14th respectively. 

The third round takes place in three weeks time in Aragon, Spain.
