ROMAN EMPEROR Max Biaggi laid down the gauntlet in the second day's WSB testing at Valencia, posting the fastest time of the day.
Riding an Aprilia RSV4, Biaggi leathered around the 4km Spanish circuit in 1:33.8, almost 1.5 secs quicker than his team-mate, current British Superbike Champion, Leon Camier.
Biaggi's time was closely followed by Britain's Leon Haslam. Suzuki-mounted Haslam, the fastest man on Day One, took his Alstare GSX-R1000 around Valencia in 1:34, beating his timesheet-topping Day One performance bu 0.1 secs.
Current World Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow posted a 1:34.1, while team-mate James Toseland put in a respectable 1:34.3, placing the former MotoGP man in fifth place.
