GET THIS: Visordown's WSB mole says there has just been a high-level meeting between Laurens Klein-Koerkamp, Massimo Meregalli and Ben Spies' mum (who is his manager).
No details of what was discussed at the meeting have come out, but as LKK looks after Yamaha Racing and MM is the Yamaha WSB boss, we can presume that it's about Spies, 2010 and WSB.
Mrs Spies is a very canny manager who is steering her son incredibly well on the global stage and Ben seems very happy in WSB at the moment.
He's already said that he'd be quite happy to stay in WSB for another year, and with the recent news that Jorge Lorenzo has signed with Yamaha for 2010 in MotoGP, it would make sense for the factory to keep their WSB legend in the 1000cc class before putting him into MotoGP when Rossi switches two-wheels for four in 2011 (it will happen!).
Expect an announcement from Yamaha soon.
