Provisional 2014 World Superbike calendar released

Misano reinstated, two new circuits introduced and an unnamed overseas venue

A PROVISIONAL 14-round World Superbike calendar for 2014 has been released today by the FIM including two brand new additions and an unnamed overseas circuit.

There are a number of changes compared to the 2013 calendar as two new circuits have been proposed: Sepang, Malaysia and South Africa's Phakisa Freeway although both are subject to contract.

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy has been reinstated after losing its place on the calendar in 2013 and will replace the Monza event. Donington is now the sole British round as Silverstone has been completely removed from the calendar as well as the Nurburgring and Istanbul Park.
