KARL MUGGERIDGE has talked about his call-up to the WSB Suzuki Alstare team this weekend in Germany.

The 2004 World Supersport Champion will stand-in for the injured Max Neurkirchner who broke his back in two places at the recent Imola test.

Muggas said: "I got a call from Alstare boss Francis Batta and he asked me if I would do it and straight away I said yes. The team are terrific and their bike is rapid.

"I hope Max gets back really soon, his injuries have been treated and his broken vertebrae have been fused together so he's had the best possible treatment and it's now rehabilitation to get him racing again."

Muggeridge had two strong rides at Cadwell Park this weekend after a disastrous qualifying that saw him fall in the second qualifying session. He scrapped his way on the HM Plant Honda through from 13th on the grid to seventh in race one and 13th in race two.
