GOOD NEWS: Regis Laconi is going to make a guest appearance at the Imola WSB round at the end of next month.
The popular French rider will be at the round as a spectator however, recent reports have suggested that his racing career is now over after a huge crash in Kyalami on May 15 left him fighting for his life.
More recently, Laconi's health has improved significantly and the Imola race will be his first public appearance.
Regis will be present in the Team DFX pit box and will watch the adventures of Lorenzo Lanzi and Fonsi Nieto close up, as well as taking a parade lap in a convertible car around the circuit.
He said: "It will be good to see everyone in the paddock again, and to see the fans at the track. Imola has always been a special place for me. I am very much looking forward to being at Imola again."
