Iddon secures World Supersport wildcard

Dropped BSB rider finds refuge at Parkalgar Honda

FORMER BRITISH Superbike rider Christian Iddon has secured a wildcard seat for the British leg of the  World Supersport Championship at the revised Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit on the weekend of July 31/August 1st.

Iddon will ride a Honda CBR600RR in Simon Buckmaster's Parkalgar Honda World Supersport team.

Earlier this month, Visordown broke the news that Iddon, a multiple British supermoto champion, had been dropped by SMT Honda, following a string of disappointing results in the 2010 British Superbike Championship.

Other British wildcards in the World Supersport Championship race include: James Westmorland (CAME Yamaha), twin brothers Sam (GNS Racing Honda) and Alex Lowes (Seton Yamaha), Jenny Tinmouth (Jenny Tinmouth Racing Honda), Max Hunt (Racelab Yamaha) and David Jones (UK1 Triumph).
