LEON HASLAM lapped the Assen circuit on his Suzuki GSX-R1000 faster than Loris Capirossi on the Suzuki GSV-R800.

Haslam's best time on his GSX-R1000 at the Assen WSB round was 1m35.330 in qualifying. Loris Capirossi's fastest time at the Assen MotoGP round was 1m35.664, also in qualifying.

Haslam's fastest race time was 1m36.452 and Capirossi's was 1m36.219. Capirossi may have been faster than Haslam in the race but the out-and-out fastest lap of Assen this year by any Suzuki was by Leon Haslam on the GSX-R1000.

And yet Suzuki cease all factory support for the Alstare Suzuki team.

Are they doing this because of embarassment that their MGP bike is so poor

What a Joke Suzuki has become, Though I believe Haslam has alot to do with it .He is an amazing rider and his crew is awsome too. I have no doubt that if put on the factory Suzuki GP bike he would do better.

It will be the same situation they had with Spies, When Haslam jumps ship he has the talent to go to MOTOGP and will make them look like fools once again as he passes Factory Suzukis on the grid next year hopefully.

Motogp has major problems, just like F1 in my opinion and this only reinforces my thoughts. Absolutly the Worst coverage in the States period.

You may be laughing at suzuki, but they get the last laugh, the gixxer is the most popular litre bike in NZ.

Take aprilia and  BMW, both beat Kawasaki, but there are 10x the number of ZX10 here than the RSV4 and S1000RR

All this says tome is that WSB is the racing to watch *shrug*

All the road bikes are good, its only when theyre being taken to the absolute limit that thier flaws are highlighted

Of course their are more gsxrs and zx10s, they have been in production for years. 25 in the gsxrs case so of course there will be more of them The BMW came out end of last year and the aprilia 6 lonths before that. so what do you expect ???

Also bare in mnd since the bmw has come out it has murdered the sales of the other litre bikes, selling more than double the nearest rival.

Plus you Kiwi's are a bit bonkers and are the type to get the gsxrs and zx10's as they are the most raw, race ready and powerful until now anyway, LOL

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
