Haga: The moment it all went wrong

THIS IS THE moment Noriyuki Haga threw away his chance of clinching the 2009 World Superbike title, when he crashed his Xerox Ducati in the opening race at Portimao.

Haga, who tumbled out of contention on lap six, went into the season finale 10 points clear of his nearest rival Ben Spies. His exit from the race put paid to any chance of the veteran  winning his first World Superbike title.

Spies went on to win Race One and took fifth in Race Two, clinching the 2009 WSB crown by just six points.
