IN an end of season test at Portimao, Eugene Laverty has spent some time with the factory Aprilia RSV4 he will ride next season.
The Irishman has been conducting the test from out of the PATA team garages, riding the bike used by Noriyuki Haga.
After penning a two-year deal with the Italian manufacturer Laverty's team has not been confirmed, instead of joining Max Biaggi in the factory Alitalia squad it is understood that Laverty will ride for the satellite outfit but receive full factory support and a team of Aprilia engineers.
Biaggi's teammate has yet to be named as Leon Camier will be replaced in the factory team.
