CARLOS CHECA took the track at World Ducati Week to test the WSB-spec 1199 Panigale around Misano.

Enjoyingly sweltering conditions the reigning World Superbike champion lapped the Italian circuit on a sexy looking Panigale with a raw carbon fibre fairing and an exposed aluminium tank.

Ducati did not release any times but stated that the Spaniard gave valuable feedback, Checa tweeted that he got a good feeling from the bike.
