Bayliss: "I know I can beat anyone"

Bayliss hankering for a comeback to World Superbike racing

by Visordown News

NOT content with the legendary status he created in World Superbikes and retirement Troy Bayliss has revealed he has the urge to return to racing.

Retiring as a champion in 2008, recently Bayliss has been tasked with the development and testing of the new 2012 Ducati superbike. The talk of a comeback has been on the lips of Bayliss for some time, with the Australian commenting last year that he left the sport too early and would return to WSB action. Only to change his mind.

Now aged 42 the hero of Ducati, in an excerpt from an interview with Motosprint, said: "I can not help it, I still need to win. I've never been so fit, I'm ready to come back anytime. I know I can beat anyone."

At last he admits what everyone thought at the time. Retired too early.

The man's brilliant but there's a whole load of talented guy in WSB just now.

It would be interesting to see how he gets on.

He'll get spanked as Schumacher has in F1..... he was one of the quickest but the Duke hasn't the advantage it once had.

It will be a failed return if he expects to come back and win another championship like he did before simply because wsb is jam packed with talent now.

Mr.Truth Mr.Truth

He will only have to beat the likes of Checa, he can do that in his sleep.

Not like he has to beat Rossi

Yeap, come back beat them and more importantly beat the Foggy record

BRING IT ON, aussie aussie aussie, oih oih oih!

It's not going to happen. From Troy's Facebook page:

I have said many times I miss racing and winning , and Come backs and come back are different , I will come back for Monza , make some laps on a big Red beast , do some work and PR then I will COME BACK . come back home , ciao TB 21

Troy has stpped before and regretted it. This time is no different. I see no reason why he shouldn't comeback and earn some more money doing what he loves. Oh but hold on his kids are now in their teens - another reason to get away from their bitching and moaning and go racing!

Come on TB give Max another pasting like you did in MotoGP it would be priceless to see him try and slap you across the face!

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
