Not the full WSB-spec bike but the Superstock machine gets a shakedown at a wet Magny-Cours
A WET Magny-Cours dampened the usual flurry of activity at the first World Superbike test but it didn't stop the new ZX-10R getting out on track.
However, this wasn't the full WSB-spec machine being tested but the Lorenzini Superstock team, with the two bikes being ridden by Sheridan Morais and Jed Mecher. Mecher recorded a win and fastest lap in his first World Superstock race, he's also the first Australian to win in Superstock.
The team Pedercini full-on WSB-spec Kawasakis stayed in the garage where it was being fettled by mechanics but it didn't turn a wheel all day. Tom Sykes was at the test but opted not to go out in the wet conditions.
