Alastair Seeley has dominated to his 20th North West 200 victory on the Tyco BMW by over 21 seconds from Michael Rutter in a damp Superbike race.

The race was initially delayed due to rain and oil leaked from Michael Dunlop’s Bennetts Suzuki but the race eventually got underway cut down from seven to four laps.

Rutter led from the start line but was quickly reeled in by Seeley and Hutchinson. Seeley got past at University and never looked in trouble, laps five seconds faster than anyone else, while Hutchinson slipped back to 10th.

Rutter won the tussle against Lee Johnston to take second place on the Bathams/SMT Racing BMW while NW200 rookie Glenn Irwin claimed fourth on the Be Wiser Ducati ahead of Peter Hickman on the Smiths Racing BMW and Derek Sheils on the Cookstown RE Racing Suzuki.
